Cork Route
The Cork Route takes you to discover the mysteries of the ancestral relationship between Man and the Cork Oak. He travels with us through the cork trees, learns about the stories, gets in touch with the techniques for preparing and processing cork and discovers, along the way, a huge palette of flavors and sensations that he had never thought to try.
Santa Cruz hydroplane
Replica of the Fairey IIID seaplane, piloted by Sacadura Cabral and Gago Coutinho, which arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 17, 1922 on the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic. Length: 10.92 m / Wingspan: 14.05 m / Height: 3.70 meters.
Fonte Fêrrea Park
After the village of Alportel, head north and next to the EN2 – Estrada Património – you will find the beautiful Fonte Férrea Park, hidden in the heart of the Serra do Caldeirão. This is the ideal place for a refreshing stop, in the middle of nature. Have a snack, walk, breathe the fresh air of the mountains and be sure to taste the iron waters, known for their qualities for centuries.
With excellent access, the Park has visitor support equipment and annually hosts various events.
EN2 Memory House
In a small building overflowing with History, the municipality of São Brás de Alportel has developed a project that aims to pay tribute to memory, value the material and immaterial heritage that this space contains and enhance the privileged location of the municipality, on the penultimate stage of the EN2 Route. .
In this space that evokes the ancient professions of the construction worker and the construction worker, both very representative of local history and tradition, the visitor will be able to learn, in an accessible and interactive way, a little of the history of the EN2… from its origins, in the ancestor “Calçadinha” of Roman origin that still keeps, through this territory, 2 sections that can be visited, until the epic of its construction… passed the history of a country !
Outdoor municipal swimming pools
The Discovered Municipal Swimming Pool Complex of São Brás de Alportel is a leisure and recreation facility built in 1989, constituting the oldest nucleus of the Municipal Sports Park. It is a seasonally used facility, with a large influx of users and enormous relevance in the history and life of the community.
